Belfast Aquatics

Belfast Aquatics is Port Fairy’s public swimming pool complex conveniently located next to Southcombe Caravan Park. It is a modern health and fitness facility that offers a variety of innovative fitness and wellness programs. These programs and services are provided by a team of trained and highly skilled fitness experts who are dedicated to your overall health and well-being. Port Fairy Summer Markets

With over 80 stalls at this market, there is plenty to see and taste. Focusing on locally produced items, it’s a market full of fresh produce, flowers, plants, preserves, household decor, jewelry, baked goods, food trucks, local artists, small goods, chai tea & delicious coffee – too much to list so come and check it out. Port Fairy Candle Co. will also have kids’ candle-making available. Devonshire Tea will be served out of Community House by the Belfast Lions Club – the scones are not to be missed.

Go Surf Port Fairy

Get your Go Surf ‘Certificate of Radness’. Join their kids and teens surfing program.

Over two or three fun-filled days, you learn all the key base skills for paddling correctly and getting to your feet and riding with a good technique. You also get a thorough rundown of surf safety, ocean awareness, and surfing rules. You will progress your surfing with a focus on catching more waves, getting to your feet efficiently, surfing with the correct stance, and riding waves consistently. You will now be more confident in the surf and improving well.

The more lessons you surf with Go Surf, the more surfing skills and knowledge you will have to get past that initial, frustrating beginner stage.

Their instructors are there to help you learn to surf and provide advice on all questions related to surfing. They hope that you’ll love surfing as much as they do. They’ll get you up and riding in no time.

Ocean Road Abalone Tour

Visit a land-based abalone farm producing premium Australian tiger abalone for local and export markets. A unique experience! A Port Fairy aquaculture operation founded by abalone divers in 1996, Southern Ocean Mariculture was one of Australia’s first abalone farms. The farm is known for its Ocean Road Abalone brand, celebrating 10 years in 2024. SOM’s team of dedicated aquaculturists (many from nearby Deakin University’s Marine Science program) produces 120+ tonnes of premium tiger abalone annually, in a range of sizes, sold live or processed locally into ready-to-eat canned and vacuum-packed abalone. Find Ocean Road Abalone at seafood markets, specialty grocers, restaurants and of course in home kitchens around Australia. The farm also exports to major abalone markets and has an online store. – 10% discount on abalone products for ticket holders – Please allow 90 minutes for the tour including tasting – More detailed information will be emailed at least three days prior to tour – We advise booking early to avoid disappointment.

Moyneyana Festival

The Moyneyana Festival guarantees there’s never a dull moment, offering daily activities and music for all ages. On New Year’s Eve, the streets come alive as locals and visitors gather for the vibrant and creative old-fashioned float parade, followed by live music and fireworks lighting up the night. Each day brings unique events, including movie nights, arts and crafts days, and giant slides, ensuring something for everyone.

Port Fairy Film Society

The Port Fairy Film Society Inc. is a not-for-profit organisation, and who love to enjoy great cinema. During the summer time, they have Summer Movies.  From December 26 to January 26, they offer a range of films for our locals and visitors. The Port Fairy Film Society Inc. committee is pledged to strengthen our commitment to preserving the wonderful experience of seeing a film in the historic Reardon Theatre.

Port Fairy Historic Walking Tours

Join the Port Fairy Visitor Information Centre’s expert guide on a leisurely Port Fairy Guided Historic Walk through the wide, tree-lined streets and beautifully preserved streetscapes of Port Fairy. The tour will explore the town’s rich history, uncovering fascinating and often little-known stories about the characters and events that shaped Port Fairy’s early development. Port Fairy has over 50 buildings listed with the National Trust ready for you to explore and discover.

The Port Fairy Surf School caters to a diverse range of surf enthusiasts, from complete beginners to advanced wave riders, our school offers classes for everyone aged 7 to 70. Our mission is to provide a safe, structured environment where you can learn to surf the right way. With a variety of programs, we accommodate all preferences and budgets, ensuring an inclusive experience for every student. Join us in Port Fairy and Warrnambool for surf lessons tailored just for you. If surfing isn’t your thing, they also hire Kayaks and paddleboards.

Port Fairy Camel Rides

Lake School of Celtic Music – Koroit

Lake School of Celtic Music annual event where you learn to play Irish Music, learn Irish dance steps and sing Celtic songs.

Learn to play Irish flute, fiddle, tin whistle, uillean pipes, bodhran, guitar, banjo, harp and songwriting. Play in a ceilidh band. Play sessions, sing and dance with hundreds of musicians from all around Australia is a great way to meet new friends with the same interests in all things Irish.

This is also a great activity for all the family and to introduce the young ones in your life to the wonders of music.

Koroit Truck Show

The Koroit Truck Show held at Victoria Park Koroit is a fabulous family friendly event with lots to see and do. Koroit comes alive with a large truck display, motorcycle performance along with the inclusion of a state wood shopping competition. Enjoy the live music, food, trade and market stalls and witness the popular truckie sprint and the tug of war.
